About Denise Willms - Freelance Writer and Virtual Assistant
I’m passionate about words and about helping people use them.
In fact, I became a published author at the age of eight when I wrote and illustrated a series of fairy tales for my third grade classmates. I still remember the thrill I got from seeing my ideas in print and watching others enjoy them.
My desire to help others feel that same satisfaction has taken me down many paths over the years. I majored in English at the University of Lethbridge and taught elementary school students the basics of reading and writing. Later on I joined the corporate world and wrote technical manuals and internal communiques for international corporations.
Since 2004, I’ve helped entrepreneurs communicate their ideas through their written words. I’m the owner of a niche article directory for work-at-home moms and of an award-winning article marketing forum where I teach other women entrepreneurs how to promote their businesses by writing articles and press releases.
I’m mom to two teenagers and is happily married to their dad, BJ. Cassidar Ink is named for my children: Cassidy and Darian. I live with my family in Calgary, Alberta and we share our happy household with two dogs, two cats and two guinea pigs.
